My work explores the emotional landscapes that exist beneath the surface—those experiences that are often felt more deeply than they can be expressed in words. Using water as both a physical environment and a metaphor, I create photographs that invite moments of stillness, introspection, and connection.
Working with live models in underwater settings, I use light, movement, and flowing fabric to transform the human figure into a visual language of emotion. Freed from gravity, the body moves in unexpected ways, revealing gestures that suggest vulnerability, resilience, memory, and transformation. Rather than illustrating a specific narrative, my images leave space for personal interpretation, allowing viewers to bring their own experiences to the work.
Water is not the subject of these photographs—it is the medium through which familiar boundaries dissolve. Between light and shadow, presence and absence, the images become quiet reflections on the complexity of the human experience.
Through these images, I invite viewers to linger in the stillness of the depths, to see beauty in the unguarded moment, and to rediscover the human form as both art and element.
